I'm alive! I have a new (as of four months ago, hence the LJ-death) job! *loves job* Co-workers, on the other hand, could use a little work.
Funny how I always seem to migrate back to LJ right before November. Mostly to commiserate with fellow WriMos about NaNo, I guess. And to write fic.
Interesting fact: Drew writes more fanfic in the month of November than any other month of the year. Why? To avoid writing his NaNoWriMo novel. See, procrastination can be productive.
On a different note: What's new in LJ-land? I've avoided fandom since all the new series premiers. Any thoughts on shows? Will Charlie and Amita pick out curtains together? Will Castiel continue his sweet-awkward lost-puppy stalking of Dean? Will CW add anymore hot-brother-angst shows to the Thursday line-up?

Just what I needed- another show to watch obsessively. Legend of the Seeker, is a show based on Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth novels. Both are well worth the read and the watch if you like the sword & sorcery genre.
So far no one else sees the similarity. *shrugs* Maybe it's just me.
On a side note: I just re-watched the season one finale of Supernatural. Talk about your insane amount of foreshadowing. I also just wrote my first piece of Supernatural fiction. It's really not good. Maybe with enough TLC, it might be fit for public viewing.
ETA: Talk about your foreshadowing- I just re-watched In My Time of Dying, and the doctor offhandedly says, "You must have some kind of angel watching over you," to Dean after Dean wakes from a coma. *loves* (Also love the random "Paging Dr. Kripke" that happens every twenty minutes or so.
Woo! New layout and profile stuff. When I found this quote I knew I had to use it for something. Now I have a cool new journal header. *grins*
Thinky thought of the day: It is a known LJ courtesy to lj-cut stuff over a couple hundred words. Most communities even have lj-cut police. Why, then, do some communities make huge mod posts that aren't lj-cut. Okay- so it's important. Great. I understand. That doesn't mean it can be short and sweet too. /rant
I have decided that internet people are far more generous than "real" people. Normally people don't cough up money for subscriptions for people they don't know. I just received a message letting me know that now I get to enjoy In This Land by matthewtime, because some generous person out there paid for my subscription.
